What Makes A Successful Print Advertising Campaign

Inherently we like good commercials. We grew up with them. From Clara Peller pitching for Wendy's with "where's the beef" to the "wuz-up" stuff from Budweiser that became part of modern day lexicon, we enjoyed the end result of a fine creative process. As good as those ads were though, times are different. We are overworked, overwrought, overcommited and crushed by hundreds of messages every day. Singer and songwriter Harry Nilsson had these lyrics, "Everybody's talking at me. I don't hear a word they're saying, only the echoes of my mind." Sound familiar? What were the last two billboards you saw? How about the products pitched in the last two TV spots you watched? When did you last pull out the yellow pages?

On the other side of town I got an English tour of the Imperial Palace, which in June is nothing to write home about. After trekking it to the Golden Temple (painted in gold leaf) and Ryoan, the stone garden, I caught a taxi back down to Gion Corner - aka Geisha Town. I ate dinner in a back alley restaurant, saw a play and went back to my hotel, exhausted. The play was mandatory. Simply shopping and eating your way through a foreign country does not count as an international experience.

Several outdoor billboards are in formats that are staggering dimensions of 14' High X 48' Wide. Know how big that is? That's the size of a tractor-trailer (a semi for some readers). If you want a scale about how big your ad size could be, take a look at those heavy-duty rigs that crisscross the country. Each one of those is your ad on wheels.

For example, a recent 50 showing in Salt lake City included 84 boards and cost $22,512 for one month (the 1- Month Rate). Buying that many boards brought the cost per board to under $275. Don't expect a rate this low for smaller markets or a one or two board buy. In most cities the average billboard costs $400 to $600 a month.

Laser-targeted audience. You can place a digital display in a hospital lounge, schools, food establishments, the airport, a bus terminal, and in so many other places. Just think of a spot where people converge, chances are this kind of display is a great fit there. Of course you can do the same with a television set, but electronic displays are better because they serve a single purpose: to show your ads or announcements.

They are worth the money you pay. advertising panel can cost a bit for both designing and then posting them. However, you get a lot more in return for your money.

Advertisements need to be bold, daring and bright in order for them to capture the interest of the public. Since you don't have any product that you can display in front of your establishment or aromatic dishes that can penetrate the senses of the passersby, you need to be creative and go for visual effects. A stunning spectacle can always create a stir and that's just what these signs can bring to your firm.
