We are launching the Activity Adviser this week!

A Quick PSA

As we perform scheduled maintenance, this week's Game Update will cause more downtime than usual. The game update will start at 11:00 BST and will end at 11:30 BST. Our maintenance work will be complete at 13:45 BST. Game worlds should go online at 14.00 BST. We'll keep you updated via our status page here[secure.runescape.com].

Now, let's get to the show!

Old School RuneScape has an amazing community made up of players with varying interests, skills and experience in the game. While some of you may have seen most of the content, there are still many players who are just starting to explore the game and returning to it.

We've all been in a situation where we think we've met all the requirements to begin playing a piece. However, we're all familiar with it. Account progression for newer players or returning players can be a challenge. It's a long road that will lead to the more exciting parts Gielinor.

We are taking your feedback on the 'gaps" in mid-game into consideration and will let you know that this is something that we have implemented. We think it's vital to have a tool that can help players of all levels to find the right content.

The Activity Adviser:

The Activity Adviser is currently only available to selected accounts during our initial testing period. Safebin We'll take player feedback into consideration to make changes before the Activity Adviser is made available to everyone.

'Available’ or 'Target’ Content

You can find the Activity Adviser in two categories: Available Content or Target Content. - Available Content: There are a range of activities you can do right now, provided that you meet all the skill and quest requirements.

- Target Content: You're close to completing milestone activities or progression moments, but don’t have the required requirements. Safe place for private runescape servers

Quest Section

In the Quests section, you'll be able to see quests you've met the requirements for as well as quests you're close to being able to start.

This section will prioritize quests giving access to important unlocks, such as Fairy Ring progression equipment teleports or progress equipment. We've noticed that one of the most common early-game struggles is getting around, for example, so we hope that pointing new or returning players in the direction of useful teleports and other unlocks will reduce the time they spend schlepping from one side of Gielinor to the other!

Future sections might include 'Skills, 'Utility,' and 'Miscellaneous, which would cover skills like run energy and teleports as well clues and minigames. Do these cover all the bases? We want to find out! We want to hear your thoughts through all channels.

First-Time Login

If you are selected for A/B testing you will see this pop-up when you log in.

If you engage in combat, the popup will disappear automatically.

We'd love to hear from you if you were one of the fortunate ones to have access to the Activity Adviser before others. We're very keen to improve the new and returning player experience, and every bit of feedback helps!

Final Notes

The best activities are not necessarily the fastest way to account progression or XP. We want to help people find what they love, not just the most efficient grind.

We also want players to be aware that they can play the game in whatever way suits them. The Activity Adviser is a tool that highlights activities people might like, but it is not intended to be a guideline for players.

We'll be discussing the Activity Adviser in more detail on our Twitch channel[www.twitch.tv] this Thursday (July 21st) at 17:00 BST with Mods Kieren, Squid, Daizong & Light! This form can be used to send us questions about Activity Adviser, or to experience a new player.

Lastly, the Activity Adviser is intended to complement the OS Wiki[oldschool.runescape.wiki], not replace it. As you choose what to tackle next, we recommend taking a look through their incredible guides.

Feedback on PvP Arena Changes

First, players can now select the Runes they wish to take into the PvP Arena. Please note that spells that require Runes will be displayed in the Spellbook interface. This includes items such as Fire Runes from the Tome of Fire.

The Bow of Faerdhinen was removed from the loadout chest. Players raised concerns that the Bow of Faerdhinen's power was too high compared to other offerings such as the Zaryte Crossbow. This is a change we'll be keeping a close eye on and would be happy to revert if needed, but we hope this is a bit more balanced.

We have also added a button that allows you to copy your opponent's loadout for unranked duels.

Next, the ELO system was adversely affecting players with larger rank gaps. Therefore, we have changed the way that Rank Points will be scalable in uneven fights. Safebin This means that players who beat weaker opponents will earn fewer rank points

- Players who lose to stronger opponents will lose fewer rank points

- Players winning against stronger opponents will gain more Rank Points

- Players who lose to weaker opponents will lose more rank points

Create With Confidence: Our Fan Content Policy

Our community is a big part of what makes our game so amazing. We appreciate that players may therefore want to use game content to make awesome things like YouTube videos, Twitch content, custom creations, or even covers of RuneScape songs! We love to see your creative works and encourage you to be creative.

We also know that there has been some confusion over the past regarding what is and not acceptable - especially when talking about physical creations like plushies and models. This can make it a bit intimidating.

To make things simpler in future, we'd like to introduce you to the brand new Jagex Fan Content Policy[www.jagex.com]!

What is the Fan Content Policy Policy

Our Fan Content Policy is a clear, publicly accessible guide to what you can and can't do with our content as a fan of RuneScape or Old School RuneScape.

Why does it exist?

To encourage creativity and transparency

We are a creative, diverse community. We want to help you create great things! To do that, we need to be clear on what is already permitted - and in what circumstances you would need to reach out and apply for additional permission.

What is the Fan Content Policy and to whom does it apply, and what does it cover?

The policy covers many topics, including YouTube content, music and fan art. It also covers 3D objects/printing and making stuff for sale, making games, and dealing with third-party clients.

If you follow the guidelines in the policy, you can create any content or merch you want. For example, under certain conditions you are allowed to make and sell up to 100 units of a piece of merch, create covers and remixes of RuneScape/Old School RuneScape songs, write short stories of up to 15,000 words, use our 3D models in short animated films and accept a paid commission to create a piece of game-inspired fan art!

For more details on all of the above, please take the time to read the Fan Content Policy[www.jagex.com] in full - especially if you're a creator who uses visuals, music, in-game models or anything else from RuneScape or Old School RuneScape.

We are so excited to see our community continue to make amazing works. We hope this information helps current and future creators.

Other Changes: The Nex fight ends with the broadcast of the most valuable player.

- It is now easier to distinguish the background colour of the Theatre of Blood master puzzle sliding puzzle background from the sliding pieces.

- The Seed Box now lists its content in chat when checked, even if the interface doesn't remain open. If it is open, the list will appear when closing the interface, thus giving the most up-to-date status of the Box. The message has been filtered as spam.

- You can now click the left-click Cook' option on the fancy range within a Player Owned House. This becomes a right-click option if there's a kettle on the stove, as tea always comes first!

Lanthus no more appears on the Deadman realm, as he occasionally got in the path of fights in the lobby.

The PvP Rota has been moved from Period A to (US): - 539 – - PvP World

- 548 - (Germany) - High-Risk PvP World
