NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.



Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He stated, "It's so exciting to once more see an increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from America, which is already exceeding or even surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019". "The United States is our most important market for Israel's inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel each month. נווה פריצקי We are extremely happy to see such a positive shift and anticipate it to continue for a long time."

Canada is in the process, like the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022 Canada had 7,200 visitors while August saw 6,600.

"We are not far off our record 2019 numbers, and we are anticipating that this growth in tourism to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians continue to feel more confident about traveling abroad."

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international tourists in 2019 including 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless whether they're vaccinated. The country has already hosted more than 600,000.
